Oh dear, there’s no need for you to worry. Let me explain how you can schedule your interview, and also what things you’ll need to take with you when you go for the interview.
To Schedule your Visa:
- Get in touch with the American Consulate or Embassy in your area for information on obtaining an F-1 international student visa. Go to the US embassy website to locate an outlet in your area.
- To arrange an interview for your F-1 student visa, follow the guidelines provided by the U.S. Embassy or Consulate after you have received a Form I-20 from the school you wish to attend.
- After obtaining your Form I-20 and paying the I-901 SEVIS fee, you should schedule your visa interview as soon as possible.
- Follow the directions on the website of the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your area to pay the visa application cost.
- Make your SEVIS payment.
Candidates should bring their passport, proof of payment, the DS-160 submission confirmation page, and any additional supporting evidence relevant to the desired visa category for the interview. Your passport’s validity date must be at least six months longer than the time you plan to spend in the US.
A non-refundable application fee will need to be paid. In other words, you will not receive your money back if your visa is denied.
