There are so many things you can’t anticipate before going abroad. However, I’ll share a few of them with you so that you can be more careful and prepared.

Really, don’t overpack. You only need a week’s worth of clothing if you’re going for a semester. If you arrive with a completely packed bag, you don’t have any space for your new shopping and memories.
- Get as much cultural knowledge as you can
There are several nations where cultural customs differ greatly from your own. Examine some of the most significant cultural differences.
It may seem meaningless to know the weather before studying overseas. Learn about the typical weather and temperatures in your host nation before you travel there, then make plans appropriately.
- Learn General Traffic Laws
It’s interesting to note that not all nations have laws allowing cyclists the right of way. Knowing if you plan on riding cycle in your host nation is also a smart idea. What regulations apply to cyclists? They drive on which side of the road? Does your bicycle require lights? These are a few of the things to do when entering a foreign nation.
Before you leave home, get comfortable preparing a few basic meals, and when you’re overseas, don’t be scared to approach your parents, roommates, or friends for advice. Although I regret not being more prepared for this part of studying overseas. This is especially important if you are participating in a lengthier program that does not provide meals.
