Hi Jamie! As someone who has recently completed their university studies, I can totally relate to the challenge you’re facing. Looking back to when I first started university I was also struggling to find the balance between academics and personal life and found that planning a day, prioritising tasks and not being too harsh on myself helped me get through the stressful times.
Creating a timetable to plan the entire semester, highlighting all the assessment/assignment deadlines really helped me put into perspective how much time I had for each task. Prioritising tasks that were closer to the due date kept me focused on what was important instead of getting too stressed with the overwhelming amount of work that needed to be done. Creating a schedule for each day would also be helpful, making sure to allocate good enough time for both your studies and personal activities.
Something else to keep in mind is to not be too harsh on yourself. While trying to do everything perfectly, it’s easy to get caught up in all the pressure so remember to give yourself time for breaks. Your self-care is just as important as your academics 🙂
Hope this helps! Best of luck with everything ahead!
